ABOUT

Vladimir Janic (b. 1998, Subotica) is a visual artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. In his artistic practice, through visual languages of photography, video, and painting, he explores themes of uncertainty and violence. His work brings into question whether we are witnessing a threatening or threatened subject; whether we are looking at a representation of an injured or performative body; how a figure or structure relates to the other; and whether this dynamic results in resistance or conformity.

He also works on commissioned photography and videography projects, collaborating with both organizations and individuals.
